Everything you need to know before booking your Ha Giang Loop tour
If you book your bus from Hanoi or Sapa through us, you’ll be dropped off directly at our hotel: Sun Ha Giang Hotel, located at 31 Nguyen Van Cu Street — the same address as Mr. Hùng’s office.
If your bus arrives at 7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 4:00 PM, you will spend the night before your tour at our Local Ban Bang Homestay. Please note that this pre-tour service includes accommodation only.
If you arrange your own transportation, simply ask the bus driver to stop at Sun Ha Giang Hotel. The hotel is open 24/7, so you can check in at any time. You’ll enjoy a complimentary night’s stay, along with breakfast at 7:30 AM in our lobby. The tour starts shortly after, at around 8:40 AM.
We recommend bringing the following:
Warm clothes (especially if you're traveling between October and March)
Comfortable trainers for walking and exploring
A swimsuit for waterfalls or riverside stops
Raincoats, rain trousers, and protective gear are provided by our team, so no need to bring your own.
If you're traveling with large bags or suitcases, you can safely store them at our office for the duration of your tour. We recommend bringing only a small bag with your daily essentials.
Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and other basic items will be provided at all homestays along the way.
Yes, we can provide vegetarian or vegan meals throughout the tour! Just make sure to let us know your dietary preferences when you fill out the booking form, so we can inform your homestays and restaurants in advance.
Yes, it’s possible to extend your tour on the way! Let your guide know as early as you can so we can make the necessary arrangements.
You can pay by cash or card — but please note there's a 3.5% transaction fee for card payments.
If you'd prefer to avoid extra charges, we recommend paying in cash (Vietnamese Dong) when you arrive.
Absolutely! You can choose to ride as a passenger with one of our professional local drivers. All our drivers are experienced, licensed, and know the routes inside out — making it a safe and stress-free experience.
Once your booking is confirmed, please send us the name and address of your hotel in Hanoi (if you're staying there). Our drivers will pick you up directly from your hotel on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
On weekends, due to traffic restrictions in the Old Quarter, pickups may not be possible at your doorstep. In that case, we’ll guide you to the nearest bus office within walking distance to ensure a smooth and easy departure.
Our tours typically include:
Accommodation during the trip
All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Motorbike and fuel (or car if selected)
An English-speaking guide
Entry fees to all attractions
Helmets and protective gear
(Details may vary slightly by tour, so please check your tour description or contact us directly.)
If you’re planning to ride your own bike, go for the “Self-driving” option when booking. You’ll follow the guide on your own motorbike, but still enjoy the full tour experience with the group.
Tipping isn’t required, but it’s always appreciated. If you had a great time, it’s a nice way to thank your easy-rider for their care, stories, and the unforgettable road experience.
The tour usually finishes around 5:00 PM on the last day. If you need transportation back to Hanoi or another destination in northern Vietnam, we’ll be happy to help you book a return bus.
Please note that this itinerary is subject to change based on weather conditions, road status, or other circumstances.
We offer fully automatic scooters as well as semi-automatic bikes. Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced rider, we’ll help you choose the most suitable option when you arrive.
