We traveled with a group of friends by motorbike around Ha Giang region, but two of us had to leave early. We contacted Mr Hung to arrange a car to collect us in Du Gia and bring us to Ha Giang, plus arrange our onwards bus journey. He quoted the best price of three companies, and could not have been more helpful. The car arrived on time even though we had no reception and he had been unable to confirm arrangements, as planned. He even called all the local hostels to find out where our friends would stay so his car could meet us there! When we got to Ha Giang, he let us shower and wait at his house and his wife was gracious enough to cook us dinner. So kind. And Mr Hung has a fascinating life story, plus goes out of his way to employ people with backgrounds that would usually make getting a job difficult. He really has a heart for helping local people, which was pretty inspiring. We didn\’t take any of his tours, but he sounded very knowledgeable. We met one of his drivers, Phong, who was just the nicest guy – enthusiastic, interested, and interesting.
Coincidentally we stayed at one of his hostels on the trip, in Dong Van. The place was clean, and had a great location, and was great for the price.
His business is young, and some staff may be a bit inexperienced, which may explain some of the reviews. Plus, organizing things in undeveloped areas like this is hard work! But, from what we saw, Mr Hung will do anything to make trips successful for his customers. Furthermore, booking with him will be making a big difference to the lives of his staff.
